Production planning
Implementing a flow- and customer-oriented production process. This requires forward-looking planning and the synchronisation of procurement and production. The production material is sequenced at the installation location according to the flow principle and provided according to demand. A set-up according to the pull principle is implemented on the basis of new processes and management principles, which will result in a continuous production and logistics flow.
A significant partial aspect here is the reduction of processing time for order fulfilment (order-to-deliver cycle time), as well as the realisation of an inventory level that is as low as possible with improved delivery service.
Furthermore, production planners are focussing on alignment with capacity constraints (constraint management) as well as on value-adding activities to prevent all kinds of waste.
