The Steinbeis Transfer Center Logistics and Factory Planning is founded by Prof. Dr. Klaus Hanke (†1999) and Dietmar Ausländer. First large-scale projects in automotive manufacturing and supplier industries.

Our vision is a smart factory that unites process automation, the interconnectedness of production, logistics, office and IT; and as resource efficiency.

  • 2001

    TZ Business processes and work organisation

    The Steinbeis Transfer Center Logistics and Factory Planning is founded by Prof. Dr. Klaus Hanke (†1999) and Dietmar Ausländer. First large-scale projects in automotive manufacturing and supplier industries.

  • 2007

    Establishment of ILP

    The ILP "International Logistics Planning GmbH" is established. New industry focus: cosmetics and food. New business focus: efficiency enhancement.

  • 2008

    First international projects

    Growth of international projects in and outside Europe. Business portfolio now includes implementation planning. Entry into the rail technology industry.

  • 2010

    Move to new premises

    Due to the growing demands on our business, we again enlarge our premises.

  • 2012

    Entry into the sectors Aircraft and Aerospace

    New sector focus: aviation and aerospace. We move into larger offices close to the centre of Göppingen and expand the business fields of IT interconnectedness and process automation.

  • 2013

    Winner of innovation prize

    Innovation prize 2013 for developing the Steinbeis Value-Stream Tool. We begin working according to the principle: “One Shop. One Stop”.

    DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF INDUSTRY 4.0 (IoT)

    Digitalisation projects along the entire value chain, from strategy to realisation

  • 2017

    Umbrella brand TZLOG

    New website relaunched and TZLOG established as umbrella brand for the Steinbeis transfer centres and the partner company ILP.

TZLOG is the umbrella brand for a network of consultancy and planning for logistics and factory planning. We are structured according to the following operating units:

The Steinbeis Network

The operating units of TZLOG are part of the globally active and implementation-oriented Steinbeis Technology Network.

The Steinbeis Network currently includes around 1,000 Steinbeis companies as well as cooperation and project partners in 60 countries. The service portfolio of the project partners (which specialise in technology) comprises almost all fields of management and technology, with specific expertise in manufacturing processes, automation, digitalisation, information technology, software systems, constructional engineering, energy technology and building services engineering.
